The Lahti Symphony Orchestra invites applications for the position of Principal Percussion starting on 11th of August 2025.

The principal percussionist plays in the orchestra as well as chamber music groups, and maintains the capability required by orchestral literature. He/she leads the percussion section by rehearsing, supervising and developing it, and provides instructions for acquiring group assistants and substitutes. The position includes the duty of playing the timpani. We appreciate the experience of similar tasks, good cooperation and interaction skills.

The salary, including the individual pay component and recording supplement is 3387 - 3658 € per month.

Audition 19th of May 2025
- The orchestra will choose the participants to the audition based on the videos and applications
- Invitations to the audition will be sent during the week 15/2025
- The Audition will be held in the Sibelius Hall (Ankkurikatu 7, Lahti) on Monday May 19th from 10 a.m. onwards. Rehearsal possibility at Sibelius Hall is on Sunday 18th of May.
- An interview may be included in the audition.
