Helsinki-Uusimaa Regional Council is a statutory joint municipal authority consisting of 26 member municipalities. We are

• a coordinator of regional development measures
• a regional land-use planner

We advocate for the interests of the region’s residents, municipalities, and businesses. The foundations of Uusimaa’s development and planning work are mitigating climate change, increasing competitiveness, and enhancing residents’ well-being. We work closely with the region’s municipalities, the state, educational institutions, various organizations, and numerous other stakeholders.
